San Francisco City Hall is one of my favorite places to photograph,

so when Vanessa and Jake contacted me to photograph their engagement session at SF City Hall, I was super excited! After confirming a date, we chatted over zoom to discuss their vision for the session. Vanessa and Jake recently moved to Northern California and they really wanted their engagement photos to capture this chapter of their life.

We arrived at SF City Hall as soon as it opened and had the building to ourselves! The photos feel incredibly intimate and special with Vanessa and Jake alone in such a grand place. I absolutely love the wide angle, dramatic shots we were able to capture. Photos don't do the building justice.

The carved marble, pane glass windows, and gold accent lights at San Francisco City Hall give their engagement photos a timeless, European feel.

Throughout the session, I focused on creating opportunities for Vanessa and Jake to connect with one another. As with most couples, they started out a little nervous but by the end of the session they seemed to forget all about me! When putting together their gallery, I hand selected photos that highlighted intimacy, grandeur, and warmth.

Black and white photos

are always some of my favorites in a gallery. They capture emotion in a timeless, romantic way that pulls me in and tugs at my heart strings.
